How do we make money?
This bits easy, we earn money when you save money. We don’t charge you any any fees. Across most of the products where we can help you switch, it works like this…
- You use TheMailingExpert to find the product, service and deal you want
- You click proceed to progress with your chosen solution or submit a request for information, the supplier provides you with the confirmation of desired option/s and processes any necessary paperwork once you have approved it.
- If it all works out, the chosen company will pay us a fee, this doesn’t impact the price you pay.
Safeguarding your information
Our core objective is to help you the customer get a better deal on any of the ranges of products and services we offer.
To do this, we need very little personal information (just basic contact information, typically your business contact information). We will ask a number of questions that are relevant to the product or service you’re interested in, these are business related questions based on usage requirements and current agreements in place to help us provide you with the most appropriate choice of options for your future needs.
Depending on the product, we may then share your information with our partners (comprising a range of UK companies related to the products you are reviewing).
They work out what product to offer you in terms of price, service and other terms and conditions, and we then present the results back to you.
We take the protection of your data extremely seriously and are continually focused on its security, so here is our commitment to you:
- Our legally-binding commercial contracts that are in place with partners contain strict conditions on how the data we share with them can be used
- Any data we supply to our partners can’t be passed or sold to any third party, or used for any sales and/or marketing activity, except to offer you a quote or if you’ve given them permission
- Please note that, once in receipt of your data, the product provider may hold onto that data but it must comply with data protection legislation
When you run a quotation with TheMailingExpert, we ask you to confirm that you’ve read our privacy policy and terms of use, which explains in detail how and why we use your data.
Our privacy policy also explains that, although we provide you with a quote if you opt to progress with a product and/or service, then it is the product provider’s privacy policy which applies – and we urge you to read this as well.

Do we work with every provider?
Our aim is to provide a wide range of deals from as many companies as possible to help you choose the best product for you. We include all four UK franking machine manufacturers in the franking machine comparisons although in other products and services we offer a choice of technology providers to help support your efforts in choosing the product or service for your business although not every company can be included…
- Some companies don’t want their products included on comparison websites
- Others choose not to pay us a fee – and we need to be able to make money so that we can continue to provide our services to you
- A few smaller providers can struggle to cope with the sheer number of customers who can find their products if they appear on TheMailingExpert
